My daughter Ava and I just wanted to reach out and thank you for your page http://www.childsafetycampaign.org/more-resources . Ava has been working on a project for D.A.R.E. due next week on how to say no to drugs and resist peer pressure. We started researching Monday night and found your page – it's been so helpful to her I wanted to reach out and personally t hank you. I haven't seen her this invested in her school work in a long time. I'm grateful she's so committed to such an important topic – especially with her teenage years being right around the corner. It's reassuring to me that she'll grow up to make the right decisions and not just follow the crowd – especially with this terrifying heroin epidemic and how it's destroying so many families.
When I told Ava I was going to email you to thank you for your page, she suggested(insisted) I let you know about a guide she found for students on how to defend yourself against peer pressure at https://www.whitesandstreatment.com/defend-peer-pressure/ . She thought it might be a good addition to your resources. Who knew 12 year olds could be so resourceful – and persistent;). Anyway it has been helpful to Ava, so hopefully you find some use for it too.
Thank you again and enjoy the rest of your week!
Sara and Ava Barnes
